I will admit, it’s been a while since I’ve worn a denim jacket. Maybe ten years? I think I was wary of looking too child-like or conservative. However, I’m changing my mind, especially with the addition of this new shearling version. The shearling jacket is a new one for me. I feel like the shearling ups the cool factor – it looks almost vintage and less classic + conservative. And definitely not too young.
To continue with the vintage street style feel of the jacket, I added a pair of cropped flare jeans (these ones are so comfy – and are also $30) and booties. I am all for simple outfits so I wore it with a plain white tee and added a cable knit sweater to layer up in the cold. Instead of throwing on a big coat, I prefer to layer underneath a stylish jacket – add a tee (long or short sleeve), sweater, jacket + scarf to keep warm.

I have a shearling jacket from Old Navy I got last year and plan to do a styling post with it soon as well! I love how it is definitely an elevated jean jacket and is actually warm for late fall and winter!
