Back to that whole “Never say never” thing. I specifically remember having a conversation with Megan and Alex about the Birkenstock trend. We were all on the same page; it was silly and not fashionable and unattractive. And yet here I am in a pair of slides, albeit not actual Birkenstocks. Forgive me my friends, I’ve reneged on my opinions.
And what better way to kick off the weekend than with a pair of very flat shoes? Here is my weekend-ready option from last posts’s workwear. Literally slide (ha see what I did there) out of those mules and into these Birkenstock-esque flats and you’re ready to go.
Speaking of, I am SO. EXCITED for the freakin’ weekend. I am off for a #girlsweekend with some of my best ladies and we celebrating an engagement and an imminent departure (not stoked about the departure, but happy that she is moving upwards and onward). I predict lots of laughter, food, wine, sun and general silliness.
So with all that information, I would like to know.. How do you guys feel about the Birkenstock revival?
I love Birkie…but I know for a fact men hate them….*who cares…right!! *

Sounds like you have a fun weekend ahead!
I absolutely refuse to wear actual Birkenstocks … however, I’m pretty sure I will be buying some knockoff leather ones very soon. 😛

I bought a pair, and honestly, they are so comfortable even when they’re considered totally ugs again I’ll probably still wear them. They hug my feet.
