Last week I had the pleasure of attending a private dinner with Vancouver-based brand, Kit and Ace. I went in totally blind and not knowing what to expect, which can be a little scary sometimes.

What I got was an unforgettable evening. The amazing Dawn of Kit and Ace had organized a dinner with individuals from different backgrounds and industries. The whole point was to connect with people you didn’t know (which is hard in Vancouver since it’s such a small city and one of my girlfriends was unexpectedly there) and do something a little unusual. And it was AMAZING. We all just clicked and spent about 5 hours laughing, talking about everything from fears as a child to life after death and eating unbelievable food. It was a night I will always remember and it really taught me to push myself out of my comfort zone and connect with unfamiliar people.

In a city where we can be notoriously clique-y and closed off, it was wonderful to experience something like that. So thank you to Kit and Ace, for reminding me what real social interaction is all about and thank you to my fellow diners for providing me with one of my best evenings in a long time.
