When I flew to Paris with L’Oreal Professionnel in January I took a carry-on… I know I can barely believe it. But I was very strategic about my outfits, including my travel oufit. Here is what to wear on a long haul flight (plus my tips for surviving it!)
1. WEAR YOUR BULKIEST CLOTHES
They will keep you warm an leave more room in your suitcase.
2. WEAR COMFY PANTS + WARM SWEATERS
If you’re on a long flight, don’t wear tight jeans. Actually, I tend to not wear jeans at all – go for more forgiving trousers.
3. LAYER UP
I always get SO COLD on the plane. But running through the airport can really make you sweat, so make sure to layer up so you can add and subtract layers accordingly.
4. ADD A HAT
I usually wear a toque or newsboy cap since I tend to refrain from doing my hair/makeup.
5. BRING FACE PRODUCTS!
For the last few months I’ve been washing my face once the plane is in the air and putting on this Dermalogica mask. It’s not super noticeable and I’ve noticed that it’s made a big difference in my skin when traveling – fewer breakouts, more moisturized skin.
6. BRING A PILLOW
Yes, I’m that person. I get really bad headaches when I sleep on planes (my neck gets so stiff) and having a pillow is at least somewhat helpful.
PS Here is my GRWM for the Paris launch party of a new event (with Alexa Chung!), in case you missed it.

Have you tried the jacket pillowcase hack?? I could not believe I hadn’t thought of it before – bring your fave pillowcase and stuff your coat or jacket inside, then use as a pillow. Keeps your coat clean and is a nice surface to sleep on! No extra bulk..

I really love the coat. Its suits for private jets tour to Casa Bianca. And also vintage Geo locations. Sweat shirts & Heels Love the concept of wearing it. The article has some good point to cover.
I know you don’t talk about it in this post but I have to ask, what kind of luggage do you use! Carry-on and large suitcases? I’ve been checking out options from Away and Muji but have heard mixed reviews and am just are not sure if I should bite the bullet and head to Macy’s for the expensive stuff.
Thanks! xoxo

I have a Herschel bag and then a random carry-on one from a luggage store – they’re pretty good! I haven’t tried Away or Muji, so can’t comment on those, sorry love.
