I’ve grown up a lot in the past year…
… and that maturity has been reflected in my style and sartorial attitude. I’ve started wearing less colour, consciously or not (that’s what red walls are for anyway!). I’ve finally streamlined my wardrobe into a few choice pieces that I actually wear… all the time. And I’m a lot more practical about what I buy, how often I’ll wear it and if it’s actually comfortable (!)- Goodbye 4″ heels!
Here are my tips for getting the most out of your wardrobe:
1. Buy carefully: make sure you can wear a new item in at least 3 different outfits with pieces you already own (you can see how much I re-wear above)
2. Look for comfort + quality: Let’s be honest- if it’s not comfortable, you just won’t put it on. I’ve become realistic about what I will and won’t wear and I’ve started to save money. Just because something is comfortable doesn’t mean it’s not stylish.
3. Invest in accessories: These are the pieces that make your outfit look chic and luxurious. Save up for that timeless bag or gorgeous, comfortable shoes for day or night.

The Shopbop spring sale is STILL ON! Don’t forget to check out my picks and make your purchases before Saturday, March 7 at 11:59 PST. It’s my favourite sale of the year, so be sure to take a peek!
Happy Friday, friends!
PS This weekend I’m taking a Photoshop bootcamp with Digital Darlings Creative. So excited to brush up on my skills… Stay tuned for an upcoming tutorial post!
Great tips! I totally agree and I embrace wearing the same great pieces over and over again (even on my blog). I wear the same things but I never wear the identical outfit (I find that’s how I get bored and think I need to buy more) so accessories are great for that! xx

Such great tips and beautiful photos! Also, another tip to go with #1, don’t buy things just because they’re on sale!

Wonderful outfits and great tips! I’ve started to invest more thought into the pieces I buy as well. It’s a work in progress, but it’s getting there!
