Spring is in full force here on the West Coast and some of fashion’s biggest spring trends are 70’s inspired (yay!). Fringe, printed haute hippie dresses and denim were everywhere on the S/S ’15 runways and I happily played along.

As a neutral minimalist, this outfit was definitely out my comfort zone, but so much fun to play around with. Because of the dress’s (gorgeous) colour and fringe, I wanted to keep everything else simple and cool with a duster trench (also very 70’s) and classic ankle strap pumps.

Speaking of spring trends, check out The Westender for some advice on what to wear this season (and how) from myself and Lisa Tant.

Happy Wednesday!

I’m not usually a fan of fringe, but this dress is so cool and unique!

Beautiful look and stunning photography. I think part of minimalistic dressing is having pieces that don’t need anything else to work—they just work and I think this dress is one of those xx
