rain + red

Vancouver in one word: rain. At least right now, it is. And most of the year. Ironically, even though I live in a city where rain is such a prominent factor, I don’t own a raincoat (at least not a hardcore waterproof one) . I don’t like them. This will sound very fashion-y, but they’re just not cute. So sue me; what are umbrellas for anyway?

When it’s pouring out, I definitely do not feel like putting on my Sunday best; it’s so important to me to be comfortable and cozy. Hence my perfectly worn-in jeans, a basic grey tee and my favourite coat. Someone asked me over the weekend if this coat was Helmut Lang. I died (it’s not, obviously, it was $65). I also love a pop of colour on a rainy day. Like I’ve said before, colour has a wonderful effect on your mood, and red is the perfect colour to brighten up a rainy day.
