We can all attest to some embarrassing beauty + style choices through the years (especially those teenage ones), and in the spirit of full disclosure, I thought I’d share my hair history with you….
I started as a honey blonde and (surprise!) it’s what I basically ended up with…
Trust a teenager to throw a bunch of peroxide in there…
Then I went to the other end of the spectrum…
Please don’t give me a pair of scissors again.
Finally went for the chop…
Tried ombre for the first time…
And discovered my true love: hats.
Then I finally (finally), found a great colourist (who I see maybe once, twice a year… the best) and figured out the best length for my fine hair (collarbone). I am lazy when it comes to my hair so I know it needs to: look decent when I just wash + wear, can be put up and can be worn wavy or straight.
What are some of your best/worst hair moments? Share them in the comments!
You have great hair! I’m always jealous of people who can pull of blonde and brown hair.

🙂 🙂 🙂
Loved seeing these pics and I love your hair now, you have such pretty highlights! Looking back I’ve definitely had a few blunders….letting my friend highlight my hair with a kit we bought at the drugstore was not the best idea. haha

Oh god, was it the one with the cap and you pulled the highlights through? #traumatized
Hi Jill, would you mind sharing who your colourist is? I have been on the hunt for a great hair colourist for quite some time. Great hair post!

Thanks! His name is Rio at Suki’s Downtown Vancouver 🙂 He’s the best.
Does he also cut your hair? If not who does your cut, it’s fantastic!

No I go to Ali at Barrette Salon for my cuts… she’s been cutting my hair for over 8 years!
