I had been planning this desert editorial shoot in my head for weeks. I’ve been wanting to go to Joshua Tree for a long time, to explore but also to shoot!
To be honest, it ended up being a bit of a more difficult shoot. We were hot AF and had climbed up this rocky hill to get the right background. It was the end of the day and we had had a near-disaster with gas (who doesn’t check their gas meter before driving at least an hour out of town?!) Anyway, I’m so happy with how it turned out, especially as I’d been saving this Aritzia knit top specifically for a desert background.
On that note, I wanted to let you guys know that I’ll be hosting Aritzia’s new Metrotown store opening this Saturday. The new boutique officially opens today at 12pm and they have a weekend full of events to celebrate, including a styling session with me from 1-3pm on Saturday! I’d love to see you guys there 🙂
Aritzia knit top, jeans (s/o – similar here + here), backpack | Madewell sandals | Ray-Ban sunglasses
i 100% feel you on the desert shoot struggle… i experienced (close to) the same thing when i was in Palm Springs for coachella! things nobody tells you about — your makeup literally running down your face, thanks to too much heat and sweating, yikes!
