I’ve returned from the land of the dead, if you will. I was SO sick over Christmas (6 days of the flu is no fun) and am only starting to feel better again. It’s amazing how much energy you lose when your body is recuperating; I feel so exhausted from walking up the stairs! So for those of you who had/have the Holiday flu or cold, I definitely feel for you.
But I’m back in black sequins and bringing you a New Years Eve outfit post. I’ve always wanted to take sequins out to play during the Holiday season and for New Years I just couldn’t resist. If you can’t wear it on New Years, when can you, right? The best way to work this look is to use juxtaposition. Sequin statement dress? Keep the hair messy, makeup simple and jewelry almost non-existent. Or toughen it up with boots and layered necklaces. It’s all about taking a formal statement piece and making it work for your party/event.
