scandi style

Easy, peasy. That’s how I like my fashion. If I put too much thought or effort into an outfit, I think it shows. I saw Swedish designer Filippa K’s Spring 2016 show last month and fell in love. In true Scandi style, there’s a simplistic element with an unmistakable effortless cool. I may be a little late to the Scandi party, but here’s my take on it:

1. Stick to neutral colours: little to no colour means mixing and matching is easy, peasy.
2. Add flat shoes: sneakers or booties. These Adidas sneakers aren’t going anywhere… and they instantly up your cool factor (who doesn’t want that?!)
3. K.I.S.S.: This may be my sartorial motto (and yours), but the Scandi’s do it so well… Pare down on your outfit as well as your hair and makeup (note the clean makeup + low ponytail at Filippa K’s show).
