the new suit

Suits have been around for forever and definitely aren’t going anywhere. But just because they’ve been a staple for both men and women doesn’t mean they have to be uninteresting; the best way to update a basic suit is with the shape and length of each piece. Here I’ve paired a longer blazer with a skinny trouser (note the length: about 1 1/2″ above the ankle bone) and a classic blouse, buttoned all the way up. Seen at Maison Martin Margiela, among others, I couldn’t help but be inspired. Classic doesn’t have to be boring.
