Speaking of things I never thought I’d wear, the mock turtleneck was definitely included in that list. Let me explain: a mock turtleneck is “a shirt with a high close-fitting neck that resembles a turtleneck but does not fold over itself” – Dictionary.com. Kinda weird, right?
Although this is a baby version of one, it feels like a pretty fresh way to update a basic black and white look. The extra detail of that small collar adds something extra edgy to the basic white top, turning it into something more interesting. With turtlenecks making a serious comeback, I thought I’d take baby steps with it.
