LONG BOB HAIRCUT MAKEOVER

I get so many questions about my hair cut, colour and styling that I thought I would bring you along with my as I chopped off my hair into a long bob! I was in desperate need of this makeover; my fine hair gets dry easily and generally looks better shorter. Where I get my hair cut and coloured is one of my most FAQ’s (see more answered here) and while I’m in Toronto, I go to Matt Collins. I will be publishing an updated styling routine shortly, but in the meantime, this one works too. I hope this answers some questions for you guys – please let me know if you have any more!

PS If you don’t know what The August Deliveries are, you’re gonna want to read this.

I love it! The slightly lighter blonde is gorgeous on you and I love the length. That was brilliant to cut it right where he did so as to avoid that flip. It is falling perfectly.
thanks for filming your trip to the salon, so cool!

Love your new hair cut and the color. Just one question. What did he put at the end on your hair before drying it? Was it a treatment?

It was a L’Oreal root booster – I’ll have to get the name for you! He also put L’Oreal Tecni Art constructor spray (a heat protectant) before curling it.

Love this look – really suits you! I recently had a long bob, having had always had long hair – taking some getting used to! I wondered what tongs/curling wand you use/would recommend? Definitely need to invest for the lob…!

Love the blog and your natural style – beautiful!

Thanks Emma! I use a 1″ barrel curling iron to get the waves – I have a tutorial here: http://bit.ly/2a8yehb

      Hi Chelsea,

I’m super lazy with this and only go 3-4 times a year! The balayage grows out nicely 🙂
